Classes are not virtual or conducted online. All classes are live and held in our two spacious classrooms at the store.

Each class has a skill level associated with it. These skill levels indicate the MINIMUM amount of knowledge and skill required to complete a particular project.

REGISTRATION
You may register by phone. However, you have one week to bring or mail in your payment in order to confirm your place. You can also call to pay with a credit card number. Please include a SASE if mailing a check. Do not send payment without pre-registering.

No class fee will be transferred, credited or refunded later than one week prior to the start of class unless we find someone to take your place in class. We make class size commitments to our teachers by that time. While we recognize that situations beyond your control may occur, please do not ask us to make exceptions.
In the event that there are less than three students in a class, the class may be cancelled with your class fee being credited or refunded. Please be aware of this policy prior to purchasing your supplies for class. Thank you

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
Class sessions scheduled during the winter season may be impacted by severe weather conditions and may require rescheduling. As we are mindful that all of you have other activities planned, our policy is to keep the class at its original time and date if at all possible. However, if the class must be rescheduled due to the weather, we will make every attempt to contact all registered students in that class two hours prior to the start of the class. Please be sure that the telephone number you provided at the time of registration is the best number to enable us to reach you in the event there are any changes. A decision to cancel and reschedule a class will be made jointly between the class instructor and the shop.

Thank you for your understanding.

mm03 Civil War Tribute NEW

As we approach the 150-year commemoration of the American Civil War in 2011, create a reproduction quilt that recalls the drama of this significant era. Featuring Marcus Fabrics' CIVIL WAR TRIBUTE COLLECTION designed by Judie Rothermel, coupled with Homestead Hearth's original design, this project is based on classic quilt blocks and variations. The result is a beautifully detailed quilt measuring a generous 100" x 112", and conveniently divided into twelve monthly installments. A variety of sawtooth and star blocks perfectly showcase 48 of the collection's prints. Each of the quilt blocks represents a major battle fought during the war. Historical notes about key battles in the Civil War with source material and quotations are included.

Each monthly packet includes fabrics to make the designated blocks as well as directions and historical notes about key Civil War battles. The program includes all fabrics to make the quilt top and binding as well as the pattern. Special fabrics for backing are available separately in limited quantities!

Join us as we discuss and work on the monthly pattern and historical notes at the optional Civil War Tribute Club.

This program is nearly closed so sign up as soon as
possible. We meet at 11AM on 4/24 and 5/22.

mm07 My Enchanted Garden A Block of the Month Program
Gretchen Gibbons’ latest project is a wonderful blend of fabrics and techniques. A combination of quilting cottons, wools and hand-dyed wools are used to create original appliqué blocks. Different floss and beads lends to the enchanting whimsy of this quilt. Pieced sawtooth borders frame the quilt nicely.

This is a 10-month program that begins in September 2009. Each month, fabrics and directions will be provided to complete a section of the quilt. The last monthly packet will also include fabrics for borders and binding.

See your March packet for Gretchen's update.
