Congratulations to the winners of our Go-Green
campaign to save the earth from plastic bags:
December - A. Sullivan
January - Ginger Woodbury
Thanks to all for helping to keep our world green. |
The Modern Quilt Guild is a community of quilt guilds across the country with a focus on modern design and quilting. The quilts we make vary from traditional patterns made with funky fabrics to out of the box piecing with no patterns. All types of quilts are encouraged and appreciated.
Country Quiltworks is excited to host the next sewing event for the newly formed Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild at the shop on Friday, April 9 at 7pm.
If you are interested in joining the guild and participating in these and other events, please visit http://phillymodernquilt.ning.com for more
information. To become a member, just click “Sign Up” on our web page. Please forward any questions to Allison Benjamin, 215-441-5472. |

Sewing with the Girl Scouts
Did you know that the Country Quiltworks has a
successful program available to Girl Scout troops for sewing instruction? A wonderful part of being in
business is being able to give back to the community.
At Country Quiltworks, we have such a program under the guidance of Anne Cowan, past Girl Scout leader, with Mary Ellen assisting. Together they help Brownies earn the Stitch It Together Try It, Sew Simple Badge Juniors and Textile Arts IPA. If you are a leader and would like your troop to participate in this program, contact Anne or Mary Ellen @ 215-855-5554 or e-mail us
